General terms and conditions

Last updated: 10 August 2026. This English version is provided for convenience; in case of any discrepancy the Dutch version prevails.

1. Definitions

  • EXTRA: EXTRA Uitzendbureau B.V., established at Herengracht 372, 1016 CH Amsterdam, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 91860903.
  • Client: the hospitality business or other organisation that hires staff through EXTRA.
  • Employee: the natural person who registers with EXTRA and works shifts through EXTRA.
  • Services: the intermediation and temporary agency placement of staff by EXTRA with a Client.
  • Website: doehetextra.nl and the associated (web) applications.

2. Applicability

These general terms and conditions apply to every use of the Website, to every request for staff by a Client and to every registration and every Service of an Employee through EXTRA.

Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if EXTRA has expressly confirmed them in writing.

3. Services

EXTRA acts as an intermediary between Clients who need temporary hospitality staff and Employees who wish to work through EXTRA. When performing a Service, Employees work as employees on the payroll of EXTRA; EXTRA makes them available to the Client for the duration of that Service.

EXTRA endeavours to make a suitable match, but does not guarantee that an Employee will be available in good time for every request from a Client, or that Services will be continuously available for every registered Employee.

4. Requests by Clients

A Client may request staff via the Website or by telephone. A request only becomes final once EXTRA has confirmed the request in writing (including by email), stating the agreed role, period and rate.

The Client is responsible for providing a safe workplace and for giving the instructions necessary for the Service to be performed properly, and shall comply with the laws and regulations applicable at the workplace, including the Dutch Working Conditions Act (Arbeidsomstandighedenwet).

5. Registration by Employees

An Employee registers via the Website or the registration form. Registration does not oblige an Employee to accept a Service; EXTRA does not undertake to offer Services on a continuous basis.

An Employee is obliged to provide correct and complete information (including a valid work permit, where applicable) and to report any changes to that information in good time.

6. Rates and invoicing

The rate for a Service is agreed with the Client prior to the Service and confirmed in writing. All rates quoted by EXTRA are exclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise.

EXTRA invoices on the basis of the hours actually worked, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The payment term is 14 days from the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.

7. Cancellation and changes

A Client may cancel or change a confirmed Service free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts. In the event of cancellation within 24 hours before the start, EXTRA may charge a reasonable fee to compensate the Employee who has already been scheduled.

An Employee who is unable to perform a confirmed Service shall notify EXTRA as soon as possible, so that a replacement can be found in good time.

8. Liability

EXTRA endeavours to select staff carefully, but is not liable for damage arising from any act or omission of an Employee during a Service, except to the extent that such damage is the result of intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of EXTRA itself.

The liability of EXTRA is in all cases limited to the amount paid out under EXTRA's liability insurance in the case concerned, plus the excess. If no payment is made under that insurance, liability is limited to the invoice amount of the Service to which the damage relates.

This limitation does not apply to damage that is the result of intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of EXTRA, nor to the extent that mandatory law prescribes more extensive liability.

9. Personal data

EXTRA processes personal data of Clients and Employees to the extent necessary for the performance of the Services. How EXTRA handles personal data is described in the privacy policy.

10. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Website and the content published on it are vested in EXTRA or its licensors. No part of the Website may be reproduced or made public without the prior written consent of EXTRA, other than for personal, non-commercial use.

11. Changes to these terms and conditions

EXTRA may amend these general terms and conditions from time to time. The most recent version is always available on this page, with the date of the last change shown at the top. For ongoing arrangements, the version that applied at the time the arrangement was confirmed continues to apply.

12. Applicable law and disputes

These terms and conditions and all agreements with EXTRA are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be resolved by mutual consultation as far as possible. If the parties cannot reach agreement, the Amsterdam District Court (rechtbank Amsterdam) has jurisdiction, unless mandatory law prescribes a different court.
